The Pickering Museum Village sits comfortably on the banks of Duffins Creek and is the largest living history pioneer village in Durham Region. It comprises 19 heritage buildings dating back from 1810 to 1920.

Pickering Museum Village is located on the south side of Highway 7 between Brock Road and Westney Road. There are several ways to get from Toronto to Pickering – by bus, train or taxi. Alternatively, travel by car and include it in your Ontario road trip.
Toronto to Pickering by Bus or Train
The average journey time from Toronto to Pickering is around 1.5 hours by bus, and 41 minutes by train. These are operated by GO Transit, departing from Union Station Bus Terminal, and arriving at Brock Road. Bus and train tickets cost roughly the same (between $13 CAD and $18 CAD).

The fastest way to get from Toronto to Pickering is by taxi. While this is the quickest method, taking around 29 minutes, it is also more expensive. The cost from Toronto to Pickering via taxi is between $95 CAD and $120 CAD.

Pickering Museum Village Hours
Currently, Pickering Village Museum is only open for pre-booked programs and tours. To book a tour or program, visit the Pickering Village website. Generally, the villages hours of operation are as follows:
July until Labour Day:
Wednesday to Saturday: 10 am to 4:30 pm
Sunday: Noon to 4:30 pm
June and September:
Saturday: 10 am to 4:30 pm
Sunday: Noon to 4:30 pm
Note that admissions are only allowed until 3:30 pm. The museum is also open for private and school tours from April to December.
Pickering Village Tickets
At Pickering Museum Village, all are welcome. General admission varies depending on age group. Ticket prices are as follows:
- Adults: $9 CAD
- Seniors (55+): $8 CAD
- Students (13+ with ID): $8 CAD
- Children (4-12): $6.50 CAD
- Family (2 adults, up to 5 children): $26 CAD
