Wellington County is located in Southwestern Ontario and is part of the Greater Golden Horseshoe and comprises two towns and five townships. The City of Guelph, although part of  Wellington, is large enough to be municipally independent of the County.

Probably the most famous town for a day trip from Toronto is Elora. One famous Group of Seven painters, A.J. Casson, called Elora “Ontario’s Most Beautiful Village.”
