The District Municipality of Muskoka, Muskoka Region or Muskoka as it’s known locally is a regional municipality in Central Ontario, Muskoka extends from the western end of Georgian Bay to the northern tip of Lake Couchiching, to the eastern border of Algonquin Provincial Park.
Muskoka is located an hour and a half north of Toronto. It has some 1,600 small lakes, several villages and towns, farming communities, and lakeside vacation hotels and resorts near golf courses, country clubs, and marinas. It’s a popular cottage destination that attracts over 2.1 million annual visitors.
