Lurking in the Shadows at Fort York

Hear chilling and eerie tales on a lantern tour of Fort York and its historic surroundings. Learn about a haunted lighthouse and the bloody Battle of York. Explore the military burial ground. Tour the creepy shadows and 200-year-old buildings of Fort York at night and learn of its history and many paranormal mysteries. Hot drinks & refreshments included.
The fun continues in October with our after-dark tours! Get into the festive spirit with autumn-inspired craft-making and seasonal dress-up fun! It’s a celebration of spooky, creativity, and community that you won’t want to miss.
Please Note: This program requires accessibility of stairs and uneven ground. Part of the tour takes place outside, so please dress for the weather. The tour includes walking outside and in the dark, and crossing busy streets.
Tours will begin and end at Fort York National Historic Site. Tours start promptly at 7:30 p.m.; to minimize disruptions, please arrive early to sign in.
Note: Recommended for ages 12 and up. Youths aged 12-16 must be accompanied by an adult.
